How the Polo Cottage Came to be...
The Polo Cottage began as a dream when the owner, Laura, relocated from Los Angeles. Having grown up with a love for horses, Aiken’s renowned equestrian community immediately drew her in. On her first visit in 2025, she instantly fell in love with the people, the history, and the charm of this unique Southern town.
It was a dream of hers to own her own property here in Aiken. One that she could design with the pieces she loves found at antique stores, on her travels, and items she has created herself.
That dream came true in 2026 when she found and purchased this property.
Located near downtown Aiken and close to top equestrian venues, The Polo Cottage is a thoughtfully designed retreat blending English countryside style with modern comfort. Every detail has been curated by Laura herself through endless searching for the best antique, Facebook Marketplace finds, vintage pieces, and meaningful touches. If a piece looks handmade, it probably is. Laura's love of home DIY projects is evident throughout the property.
She has always loved hosting and wanted to create a warm, inviting space for people to visit and experience one of her favorite cities.
